December 24, 1938 – August 5, 2023

Donald C. Wesemann passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital from unexpected and serious health issues.

Born on Christmas Eve 1938 at the family home in the Town of Farmington, Don was the son of Clarence and Gertrude (Wendt) Wesemann. He was educated in the Johnson Creek School District, graduating with the class of '56. He worked on the family farm and then served in the US Army in 1962–1966, spending a year of that time in Korea. On July 11, 1964, he married Karol Schroeder at Immanuel Lutheran Church. That marriage was blessed with 4 children. Don was a member of the Teamsters Local 695, having worked at Motor Transport and Advance Trucking until retiring in January 1995.  After that he spent many, many hours working at the Ebenezer Moravian Cemetery, retiring from that in December 2022.

Don enjoyed gardening, making firewood for those winter nights, feeding the birds, and sharing his ZUCCHINI with anyone who would accept them. A life-long member of Ebenezer Moravian Church, he served as an usher, an elder, member of the Christian Education Committee, financial secretary, and member of the cemetery board for many years. He volunteered as a driver for Meals on Wheels, as well as at Red Cross Blood banks, where he donated over 18 gallons of blood.

Don is survived by his wife of 59 years; children, Jodi (Wayne Jones), Kurt (Sydney), Paul (Liz), Trudi (Denis Greatens); 6 grandchildren, Lyndsey, Ryan, Henry, Audrey, Philip, and Julia; 4 step-grandchildren, Meghan, Erin, Katie, and Eric (Emily); and 2 step-greatgrandchildren, Liliana and Finnley. He is also survived by his sister, Arlene Molly, sisters-in-law Elna Braeker and Marian Schroeder, and numerous friends and relatives.

Don is preceded in death by his parents and in-laws, Alvin and Helen Schroeder, Ken Molly, Carl and Betty Schroeder, Edwin Schroeder, Lorraine and Gilbert Yahn, Hazel and Harvey Peuse, Gladys and Chuck Ninmann, Earl Meschke, and Dick Braeker.

A funeral service for Don will be held at 11:00am on Monday, August 14, 2023, at Ebenezer Moravian Church with Rev. Katie Van der Linden presiding. Visitation will take place from 5:00-7:00pm on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at the Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home (213 S.
