Deana A. Kolb

Deana A. Kolb, 54, of Slater, Iowa, formerly of Waterloo, Wisconsin, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026, in Iowa.

Deana was born on October 25, 1971, in Columbus, WI, the daughter of Richard (Kathy) and Janice (Hein) Grunewald. She worked for many years in food service at various restaurants in the area. She was a very talented musician; in her free time, she enjoyed going on camping trips and cooking. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Deana is survived by her parents, sister Nicole (Casey Bowen) Grunewald, many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, uncles Dan and Victor, and cousins David and Mike.

A celebration of life will take place at 11:00am on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home in Waterloo. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 10:00am until the time of family sharing at 11:00am. Burial will immediately follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Waterloo.
