Dalhart "Dal" Holzhueter

Dalhart T. Holzhueter “Dal”, 80, of Watertown passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Park Ridge in Watertown.

Dal was born on February 8, 1938 in Watertown the son of Frederick and Elsa (Vehlow) Holzhueter.  Dal met the love of his life Judy Herman and the couple married on August 12, 1961 in Lake Mills and the couple enjoyed 57 years of marriage together. Dal spent most of his life farming and is mainly remembered for Holzhueter’s strawberries. He was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hubbleton, a member of AMPI (American Milk Producers Inc), and enjoyed driving buses for Lakeside Lutheran High School. In Dal’s free time he could be found playing cards, but above all spending time with family was the most important to him.

Survivors include his wife Judy, Children: Heidi Judd of Watertown, Mark (Deb) Holzhueter of Waterloo, and Troy (Tracy) Holzhueter of Oconomowoc. Grandchildren: Cory (Amanda) Funk, Ryan Funk, Tanner (Shallon Wilke) Holzhueter, Austyn Holzhueter , Tristyn Holzhueter, Teagan Holzhueter , Tesla Holzhueter, great grandchild Ellie Funk, his Sister Helen Jones of Bow, Washington, and sister in law Charlene Cunningham. Dal is also survived by nieces, other relatives, and friends.

Dal is preceded in death by his parents.

A private Memorial Service for Dal will be held at a later date.

Memorials can be made to Marquardt Hospice and Immanuel Lutheran Church of Hubbleton.
