Charles E. Grunewald 52, of Marshall passed away on Thursday June 14, 2012 at U.W. Hospital Madison following a brief illness.
Charles was born on May 6, 1960 in Madison the son of Roger & Imogene (Portwine) Grunewald. He was a 1979 graduate of Marshall High School. Charles worked as a mechanic and a handyman for many years. He loved hunting, auctions, car shows and antiques.
Survivors include: his parents Roger and Imogene Grunewald of Marshall; two sons Cory (Larissa) Grunewald of Wausau and Chad Grunewald of Oshkosh; two grandchildren Shayla and Mya; four brothers Steven (Judy Demeter) of Waterloo, Phil (Cindy) of Marshall, Gerald of Waterloo and Andrew of Waterloo; sister Eileen Grunewald of Waterloo; also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother Russell and sister Marie Heiman.
Visitation will be held 6-8 PM on Monday June 19, 2012 at the Pederson Funeral Home Waterloo. A Private family service will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Rob Kosky officiating. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery in the Town of Portland.
