Catalina Nunez

Catalina Nunez, 80 of Watertown, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.
Catalina was born on April 30, 1935 in Mercedes, Texas, the daughter of Esteban and Manuela (Cavasos) Medina. On July 5, 1953 she married Esteban Nunez in Chicago, IL and the couple enjoyed 45 years of marriage until Esteban's death in 1998. Catalina worked for William's Electronics in Chicago, IL for 24 years and later retired from Dodge County Department of Social Services in 2006. She enjoyed dancing, music, and winning at Ho-Chunk Casino. She was a Lady of the Moose and a regular member of the Winners Circle at Ho Chunk. She was dearly loved and will be missed by many.
Catalina is survived by: her Sons Gabriel (Lisa) Nunez Sr. of Watertown and Esteban (Dana) Nunez-Rios of Doniphan, MO; 14 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded by: her parents, husband, a Son Javier, a Daughter Betrize, and Brother Ralph.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home of Watertown with Mr. Daniel Meja presiding. A visitation will be on Sunday from 12:00PM until the time of service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Chicago, IL at a later date.
