Carolyn Lewellin

Carolyn (Kay) Christie Lewellin passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 in Lake Mills, WI with her family at her side.

Kay was born in Stockbridge, WI on May 23rd, 1927 to the late James and Monica (Grogan) Christie. She wed James Lewis Lewellin on February 15, 1947 and moved to Waterloo, WI where she lived for all of her married life. Kay was an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

She is survived by her Practically Perfect Children: Christie Olson, Jim (Pat) Lewellin, Tom (Rita) Lewellin , Dan (Deb) Lewellin , Mary (Rich) Lewellin, Pat (Peg) Lewellin, Theresa (Scott) Riege , Bess Jacobs, Jay (Virginia) Lewellin. Her grandchildren Cyril Olson, Carolyn Olson Gosdeck, Anne Lewellin, Ryan Lewellin, Michael Lewellin, Katie Lewellin, Todd Lewellin, Lisa Lewellin Eiche, Scott Lewellin, Erin Lewellin, Riley Lewellin, Elliott Riege, Kayla Riege, Sarah Jacobs, Steven Jacobs, Jacob Lewellin, Ethan Lewellin, Sydney Lewellin and 13 great grandchildren. Also survived by brother-in-law Donald Trott, sister-in-law Mildred Christie Miller and many nieces and nephews. Kay was greeted at heaven's gate by husband, James Lewellin, one great-grandson, one son-in-law, her parents and siblings Margaret Trott, Justin Christie, Delores Hemauer, and Mary Christie.

Kay's family would like to extend a thank you for all of the love and kindness the staff at Brook Gardens Place, Lake Mills provided over the two years she lived there.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm, on Saturday, September 13th, 2014 at Holy Family Parish in Waterloo, WI with Father Jorge Miramentes presiding. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday at 12:30 until the time of mass. Private internment will occur at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Karl Junginger Memorial Library, Waterloo, WI, Waterloo Food Pantry or Charity of your Choice.
