Bruce M. Kopp, age 74, passed away peacefully at UW Hospital in Madison on October 31, 2023.
Bruce was born on April 7, 1949, in Watertown, the son of Melvin and Olivia (Fritsch) Kopp. He married the love of his life Mary Lou Schlueter on June 10, 1967, and the couple enjoyed 56 years of marriage. Bruce had a fulfilling career as a machinist at Waukesha Motors before retiring. He was known for his dedication and hard work throughout his time there. Bruce's goal-oriented and focused nature ensured that he excelled in his profession. Outside of work, Bruce found joy in putzing around the house. Whether it was fixing things or making improvements, he always enjoyed being hands-on and taking care of his surroundings. However, above all else, Bruce cherished his family. He adored spending time with his loved ones and creating lasting memories with them.
Bruce is survived by his wife, three children: Tracy (Lee) Saxby, Michael Kopp and Scott Kopp. Grandchildren: Emily (Alec), Stephanie (Kyle), Cody (Patti), and William. Great-grandchildren: Lincoln, Hailey, Rody, and Kaylynn. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Bruce is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Beverly, Butch, and Bonnie.
A visitation, celebrating the life of Bruce will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Homes - Watertown located at 213 S. 5th St, Watertown, WI 53094.
A graveside service will take place on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Ebenezer Moravian Cemetery at 10:00 AM at N8095 High Rd, Watertown, WI 53094 with Rev. Katie Van Der Linden presiding.
