Bernice "Bunny" C. Weihert (nee, Schulenberg, Tracy) 87, of Columbus passed way on February 17, 2014 at Columbus Nursing and Rehab.
Bunny was born on February 4, 1927 in Madison, WI to Leonard and Maude Schulenberg. She married Lester Weihert on June 18, 1977 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Waterloo. She worked for Oscar Mayer for 27 years and owned and operated The Bridge Lounge, Waterloo for 31 years. Bunny enjoyed going to HO Chunk Casino, where she was a frequent winner in Bingo. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include: 7 children, Dennis (Sherrill) Schulenberg of Baraboo, Robert (Lana) Carter of Madison, William (Joni) Tracy of Casa Grande, AZ, Robert (Anita) Tracy of Madison, Suzanne (William) Erickson of Madison, Paul (Cindy) Henrickson of Plantation, FL and DJ (Keith) Paar of Juneau; 16 grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters and other relatives and friends.
Preceded by her parents, husband, son Kenneth and 2 brothers.
A family and friends gathering will be on Wednesday February 26, 2014 at Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Homes-Waterloo from 5:00PM-7:00PM.
