Berdine G. Bothe
November 14, 1930 - September 4, 2026
Watertown- Berdine Grace Bothe, age 95, of Watertown passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026 at The View at Johnson Creek. Berdine was born November 14, 1930 in Stratford to Adolph and Helena (Ploman) Ross. She was united in marriage to Oscar Bothe February 17, 1949 in Edgar. They were blessed with five children. Oscar passed away on June 23, 2011. Faith and family were important to her and she was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church since 1957.
Berdine always liked to learn about a variety of subjects, and she enjoyed poetry, music, art, reading, nature’s beauty, gardening and writing. She wrote for a number of years under the name of Bea Liefson and other names. Berdine worked as manager of the Landmark Building. She found joy in helping others.
Berdine was thankful for her loving family: Danny, Davis (Betsy), Steven (Amy), Nancy (Jeff) Priegnitz, and Chris (Wendy); grandchildren Chad (Karen), Peter (Erica), Adria (Brandon) Dennis, Taylor, Alex, and Joshua; great-grandchildren Madelyn, Logan, Avery, Harper and Ellery.
She is also survived by a sister, Arvilla, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters, two brothers, a brother in infancy, her daughter-in-law Paulette and her sister-in-law Jane.
“Love is Eternal”
A funeral service will be Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 3:00 PM at St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Watertown with the Rev. Pastor Karl Walther. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until time of service. Burial will be at Glenview Memorial Gardens, Ixonia.
