Beatrice A. Zimbric, 100, of Waterloo, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at her home.
Beatrice was born on February 13, 1925, in Mayfield, Wisconsin, the daughter of Herbert and Irene (Sullivan) Schimelphfenig. She married David Zimbric on December 26, 1946, and the couple enjoyed many years of marriage. Beatrice was a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader in Waterloo for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and was a talented seamstress, but above all loved spending time with her family and friends.
Beatrice is survived by her children Cynthia (Jerry) Tlusty, Curtis (Sandy) Zimbric, Claude Zimbric, and Patrice Zimbric. 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandson. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Phillip, daughter Paula, and her sisters Vivian Schoniger and Ellen Bowen.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, December 8, 2025, at the Pederson-Nowatka Funeral Home in Waterloo, with Fr. Michael Johnson presiding. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 1:00pm until the time of service. Burial will follow the service at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Waterloo.
