A. Clifford “Cliff” Fisk, 89 of Watertown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Spero Heritage Homes of Watertown.
Cliff was born on February 12, 1936, in Eaton, NY, the son of Allen and Velma (Holden) Fisk. He attended Concordia High School in Bronxville, NY, then went on to St. John’s Lutheran College in Winfield Kansas before finishing his education at Concordia Teacher’s College in River Forest, IL. On August 1, 1959, Cliff was united in marriage with Lois Baerwolf at St. Peter’s in Arlington, WI, and the couple shared over 54 years together until her passing in 2013. Cliff served as a Teacher and Principal at Our Savior Lutheran School in Bronx, NY, for 14 years. After that, he worked in the same position at Trinity Lutheran School in Wisconsin Dells for 10 years. After moving to Watertown, Cliff served as an assistant to the Chaplin of Bethesda Lutheran Homes for over 17 years, also serving as the Program Director for the Elderly and Medically Fragile. He was a faithful member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Watertown as well as the Kiwanis Club, the Friends of Watertown Cable, the Stephen Ministry, and the Watertown Agri-Business Club. Cliff had a heart of service and faith and led by example in both his professional life and his family life. Family was the core of Cliff’s life, and he would always say that his proudest accomplishments were marrying Lois, teaching his son and daughter in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade in Wisconsin Dells, and working with people with special needs. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.
Cliff is survived by: his children Gary (Annette) Fisk and Wendy (Sean) McGlynn; grandchildren Cole, Sarah, Marisa and Joseph; great grandchildren Hayes and Rowan; and siblings Debbie (Bob) Frisby and Rick Fisk. Cliff is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Cliff is preceded in death by his parents and beloved wife Lois.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Cliff’s name to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Lutheran World Relief, or the American Red Cross would be appreciated by the family.
