Lucille M Hanson

April 11, 1927 ~ November 14, 2018 (age 91)

Lucille M. Hanson, 91, of Waterloo, WI passed away on November 14, 2018 at Columbus Health and Rehab Center with her loving family by her side.

Lucille was born on April 11, 1927 in Watertown, WI the daughter of William and Frieda (Kegler) Bibow. Lucille grew up in Waterloo, WI and God blessed her with two children. She worked for the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture as a Loan Clerk for the majority of her working career. Lucille was a woman who took pride in the things she did. Her home was always well kept and she took good care of her yard and flowers. Lucille was also very proud of the fact that her father owned and operated the Waterloo Arcade and Bowling out of the Bibow building in downtown Waterloo. For leisure, Lucille enjoyed shopping and was especially passionate about antiquing. She was always hunting through antique shops for new treasures.  Lucille loved her family. She was a great mother and loved to spend time with her nieces and nephews and other relatives. Lucille’s faith was also very important to her. She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Waterloo. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Lucille is survived by: her son, Andrew (Lynette) Hanson; and her granddaughter Aubrey. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her parents; her loving son, Kristian; and 4 siblings, William, Lawrence, David, and Rosalie.

A Memorial Service to honor the life of Lucille will take place at 2:00PM on Monday, December 3, 2018 at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Waterloo with the Rev. Thomas Wilsmann presiding. Visitation will be held from 1:00PM until the time of service at the church.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to all who visited Lucy while she was in the assisted living and nursing home. Those visits meant a lot to her. They would also like to thank the Highland House, Columbus Health and Rehab, and Hillside Hospice of Beaver Dam for the loving care they provided Lucille. They would also like to express their gratitude to the Body Donation Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison for the services they provide.
