Katherine Chandler of Watertown was called to eternal peace on Tuesday, December 24, 2019, after a long battle with heart disease.
Katherine was born in Milwaukee, WI daughter of Ralph and Jane Stark on October 5, 1942. She graduated from Palmyra High School in 1959. From there she attended Northwest Institute of Medical Technology, Minneapolis, Minn. in 1960. It was there that she met her husband, Michael Chandler. They were married on April 28, 1962, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Palmyra. Both Michael and Katherine worked at Wood Veterans Hospital in West Allis. When Michael began classes at UWM Katherine continue to work at the VA. In 1965 they moved to Madison where they both worked at St. Mary's Hospital and Michael finished Pharmacy School at UW-Madison. In 1968 they moved to Waukesha where Michael was employed at Stein Walgreen and Katherine was taking care of two young children. In 1973, Katherine and her family moved to Watertown with Michael beginning work Mallach Pharmacy which they later purchased. Now, Katherine was at home taking care of three young boys while at the same time assisting Michael with the Pharmacy. Katherine loved golf, playing cards, traveling and spending time with her family. She was a long time member of the St. Bernard’s Parish, Watertown Country Club and was very active with the Watertown Food Pantry. Katherine was a wonderful wife and mother who would do anything for her children and grandchildren.
Surviving include her two sons, John (Eve) Chandler of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Dan (Sara O’Connell) Chandler of DePere as well as Devida Davis of Dunwoody, Ga.; six grandchildren, Alexis, Claire, Rachel, Carly and Jasper, and Jacob Chandler. Katherine is further survived by many dear friends that have made her life full.
Preceding Katherine in death were her parents, husband Michael and son David.

In lieu of Flowers, memorials may be directed to the Watertown Food Pantry, Rainbow Hospice or St. Bernard's School.
A memorial service will be held at11:00AM on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Watertown with Fr. Patrick Wendler presiding. Visitation will be on from 9:00AM until the time of service at the church. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Milwaukee, at a later date.
